Richmond High School
Multimedia Communications Partnership Academy
Richmond High School students in the 10th - 12th grades may choose one of three career "Academy Paths." Each path reflects a student's career goals, based on her/his ability, interests, aptitude, and personal choice. Practical application and relevancy to the world of work is emphasized. Students have the opportunity to benefit from enriched, integrated course work, participate in job shadows and internships, create career portfolios with work samples and research, take courses focused on the specific career field, receive certificates or college credit from ROP or 2 + 2 courses, work with a mentor from career field, and go on a variety of field trips with a career focus.
The Multimedia & Communications Academy is for students interested in the graphics arts, performing arts, business and computer occupations, video and recording arts, photography and journalism, and many other creative careers. The school has had active collaborations with a number of local business and industry partners, including Pixar.
