Alameda High School
Media Academy
In the Media Academy, students are immersed in skills-based training integrated with rigorous, academic content. The goals of the program is to provide an environment that enables students to develop communication, problem solving, graphic, multimedia design, and telecommunications skills. The ten teachers in the Academy spend two hours per day with the same students working on multimedia projects.
Some of the projects at the school include designing the district office's Web site, laying out the school yearbook in Adobe PageMaker, and creating Macromedia Director files with graphics, sound, and video.
